Studio visit – Individual Class – Potter’s Wheel

About the individual class for the potter’s wheel

Studio Sales offers clay experiences for scout troops, couples, a group of friends, or for team-building exercises.

These short classes are about having fun with clay! There is educational content in the practical demonstration of working with clay, leading to problem-solving and personal discovery in the process. The visit begins with a short tour and discussion of the ceramics process and history in our area, about 15 to 20 minutes.

This would be followed by a demonstration working on the potter’s wheel, about 20 to 30 minutes. Then there is a hands-on effort at the potter’s wheel by the participant lasting about 60 to 80 minutes. Clay is prepped and ready to use with all tools provided. Participants will get dirty! On your own or with a little assistance from us you will have a piece to be finished. Our staff will clean up wheels and tools.
