About the individual class for handbuilding

Studio Sales offers clay experiences for scout troops, couples, a group of friends, or for team-building exercises.

These short classes are about having fun with clay! There is educational content in the practical demonstration of working with clay, leading to problem-solving and personal discovery in the process. The visit begins with a short tour (weather permitting) and discussion of the ceramics process and history in our area, about 15 to 20 minutes.

This would be followed by a demonstration of working with clay in slab form, about 20 to 30 minutes. Then there is a hands-on effort to design and execute a slab piece by the participant lasting about 60 to 80 minutes. Clay is prepped and ready to use with all tools provided. Participants will get a little dirty! On your own or with a little assistance from us you will have a piece to be finished. Our staff will clean up the work area and tools.
