A great hands on introduction to pottery for younger kids. Students will learn how to prepare clay for working, explore surface decoration and textures, try basic throwing techniques and making pottery forms on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday participants will work at finishing pieces from Monday and Tuesday and glaze premade pieces for them to observe firing in a Raku kiln. Thursday will be for any clay finishing and for glazing finished pieces from Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Ages 9–13, no experience necessary. Limit 6 students, instructor Daisy Goldstein Cross.

Price includes clay, tools, glazes and the Raku firing. Participants should wear clothes to get dirty in!
